Coaching

Holistic support across a range of coaching processes – for individuals, managers and project teams in which internal and external staff work side by side.

Individual coaching

A proven, person-centred form of coaching

Individual coaching is regarded as the most popular form of coaching. It describes a one-to-one advisory process in which the relationship between coach and client plays a major role. This interactive, person-centred method addresses the client’s professional or personal goals: the coach helps them to formulate those goals, to reflect on themselves and to work out solutions.

This is precisely what distinguishes coaching from consulting in the narrower sense: whereas consulting means drawing on information from a subject-matter expert, coaching focuses on personal questions that clients answer for themselves, guided by the right prompts from the coach.

Business coaching

Professional issues take centre stage

Business coaching is a process-oriented form of advice that focuses primarily on professional issues – with the aim of supporting people in their career development and helping them recognise their strengths and abilities and apply them successfully over the long term.

Unlike a consultant or trainer, a business coach neither proposes solutions directly nor imparts specialist knowledge or particular skills – instead, they support clients in developing their own individual, sustainable solutions. Business coaching is used mainly in middle and senior management; in principle, however, anyone can benefit from it, regardless of their employment status.

Our five-phase coaching process

  1. 1.From: Contract & contact

Clarifying roles, agreeing the topic, visualising the change project, defining the current situation

  2. 2.To: Goal compass

Defining and reflecting on goals, establishing the systemic dimensions of goal attainment for the target situation

  3. 3.How: Implementation

Resource-oriented hypothesis building, deriving goal-oriented measures, reviewing measures for risks

  4. 4.Monitoring

Reviewing the measures developed and activating the self-learning concept

  5. 5.Change

Regular reflective support to adapt the necessary next steps as the process evolves

Project coaching

Strengthening project management capability

Project coaching works with individual members or with the project team as a whole. Such a team typically brings together staff from several departments and levels of seniority – formed for a limited period, with a clear objective and a specific task, and often supplemented by external specialists.

The coaching addresses both subject-matter issues arising from the project and questions of collaboration within the team and with external stakeholders. Over the course of the coaching, clients develop alternative courses of action and behaviour in typical areas – including role clarity, accountability, goal setting and balancing competing interests.
